RENTAL RATES

VENUE AND GROUNDS

We know the stress of trying to pay for, set up, decorate, prepare and host an event. We want to remove some of the stress by offering our Homestead for a rate and rental period that will not break your budget and allow you some breathing room.

When you rent the entire facility and grounds for a full weekend, you will be granted access on Friday for set up, from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm the day of your event and additionally 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Sunday for cleanup.  For 2025 rentals, the weekend rate will remain $1400 PLUS a $250 refundable damage deposit. To help offset the increasing cost of consumables and utilities, the weekend rate for 2026 rentals will increase to $1600 PLUS the $250 refundable damage deposit.

When you rent the entire facility and grounds for a day of event, you will be granted access from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm the day of your event.  The full day rental rate will be $1000 PLUS a $250 refundable damage deposit.

When you rent the barn and patio only by the hour, the rental is $75.00 per hour up to 4 hours PLUS a $100 refundable damage deposit. Please contact us for information on special rates for nonprofits and fundraising events.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Alcoholic Beverages are permitted on the grounds, however, you or your bar service will need to obtain the appropriate permit(s) from the State of Indiana, and provide a copy to us prior to your rental date.  The Homestead and its agents, servants and employees will not be held liable for any damages and/or injuries caused, directly or indirectly, from the consumption of alcohol.

If alcohol will be served during the rental period, renters will need to purchase and maintain in effect a general liability insurance or event policy covering acts and omissions of the principal agents, employees and contractors and provide a copy of the certificate of liability of insurance for The Homestead’s files. Limits should be written in the sums of Five Hundred Thousand ($500,000) aggregate and Five Hundred Thousand ($500,000) each occurrence.

If no alcohol is served, you will only need to provide a Certificate of Insurance of your homeowners or renters policy evidencing the insurance coverage under this section. Your insurance agent should be able to provide this certificate to you.
